Bobsmade

Hey there peeps.

Thought I'd just big-up another favourite artist of mine - her name is Bobsmade and she rocks. Here's a link to her deviantArt page: http://bobsmade.deviantart.com/
Bobsmade does these amazing doodle-like sketches and pieces; they look like they take forever. Wish I could have the patience to do stuff that detailed :). I have had a go - check it out: Artist At Work

She also customises shoes (ballerinas, Chucks, old 80's style sneakers) and bags, designs t-shirts, and does these really neat pieces using coffee as a stain/watercolour-like paint.

Take a look at this:

Anyways, that's all for today. I do have a big ranty post that I'm planning on doing, but I've misplaced the link. Will shove it up here once I find it again.

Bah for now! God bless,

Jaye ;p

"911 Emergency..."

Okay, so I've been away for a little while - not away as in 'away', but like away from blogging. I've been kind of busy with work and stuff lately, getting ready to start back at uni etc, so things have been pretty crazy around here.

No new graff vids or shots I'm afraid (I'm going to have to go on a photohunt pretty soon to get some more pics up), but I have updated my previous posts from having just links to actual embeded videos! I only recently remembered that you could do that...yeah, yeah, I know. You guys are probably all saying: "Yes, duncehead. Of course you can do that" o_O. But I'm a blogging n00b, so forgive me.

The reason for the name of this post is twofold: one is for a trip I took to the E.R./Casualty/whatever you want to call it today. I had a bit of an accident on Friday evening; I was walking down the stairs (reading at the same time - which although it's pretty kool to be able to multi-task, is not a good idea whilst descending from...well, anywhere) and hadn't seen a bag that had been left on one of the bottom steps, and when I put my arm out to stop myself from falling, I hit my arm really hard on the bannister. Couple that with a fall UP the stairs at work on Thursday, and my arm was smarting a bit. I can be a bit of a hypercondriac (sp?) sometimes, so I decided not to head on down to casualty right away to get it checked out or anything; gradually over the weekend it started to hurt more and more to the point of it throbbing even when I wasn't doing anything. I decided to go to the doctors and let them take a look at it and he sent me down to get it X-Rayed today. Thankfully the wait wasn't particularly long and it was over quickly. But way to go for their "care and support" .¬¬ ! Which was like none, in case you didn't get my sarcasm. It was more like a "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" visit - the woman yanked my arm around (which hurt :( ) and when she'd taken a look was like "okay, go visit your doctor in a week" and then stalked off. So I take it it isn't broken then? I'm guessing not - although a cast may have been kool, especially to draw on, I'm kind of glad I dont' have the faff of all that. But I hurt! Could you not have told me what WAS wrong with it? A soft tissue injury or bruise to the bone perhaps? I guess not...

Anyway, the other reason for the name was I meant to do this post last Thursday, in memory of 9/11, but I went out and forgot *_* (whoops!). I found this video from Ryan Adams whilst I was doing my job as a seeder monkey and thought it was pretty topical - and also a good song - so it's now part of this post. Sorry for this one just being a link, but they've taken down the embed code. What can ya do?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IhDW18rxyY

I took this shot down in NYC in '05. My family took me there for my 18th and it was absolutely amazing. It was very weird around Ground Zero though. Very eerie and silent, despite the fact that it's in New York City! I did a little redux on the photo after watching the "World Trade Centre" movie by Oliver Stone. Now there's a film that makes you think it could go either way, but I think they were pretty respectful of it. Here's a link to my devArt page where I posted this up: http://wildfire198.deviantart.com/art/In-Loving-Memory-40598016

So yeah, that's all for now. I'll try and get some good shots or find a new video to post up soon.
Check y'all later! God bless,

Jaye ;p
